Hello, everyone, and welcome to this Learn with Manus webinar. This session is all about building websites and mobile apps, and we’re really glad you’re here. Our goal is to show you how to move from simple ideas to creating real products — without writing a single line of code. I’m Jacquelyn, you can call me Joe, and I’ll be joined by my colleague Ethan. We’re both part of the Manus marketing team, and we’re excited to walk you through vibe coding.

What Is Vibe Coding?

Vibe coding is the idea that you can build real, functional products just by talking to AI. You describe what you want in plain language, and Manus builds it — the front end, the back end, the database, the mobile version, all of it. This session is designed for beginners and experienced builders alike.

To make things concrete, we’ll use the Learn with Manus website itself as a live example. This entire website was vibe coded by Manus. You can see the session we used to build it right here. Everything works: all the buttons, the mobile version, the subpages, the admin panel. And no extra instructions were needed to get the mobile layout — Manus automatically gives you both desktop and mobile views.

Core Website Features

Database

Once your product needs forms, sign-ups, or saved records, you need a database. The good news is that Manus handles all the heavy technical side. All you need to do is tell Manus what information you want the site to store, and it takes care of the rest. It runs on MySQL, which keeps your data structured and updated. There’s a visual data table built right in — easy to search, easy to edit.

SEO

A great site will still struggle if search engines can’t read it properly. That’s why Manus doesn’t just remind you that SEO matters — it gives you a workflow for it. Toggle on the advanced SEO support in your settings, and Manus automatically generates a report: what’s doing well, what’s missing, what to fix. Then you just tell Manus to fix those things. No manual tweaking required.

Custom Domains

Custom domains are where your project goes from a prototype to a real brand experience. They signal that your project is ready for professional use — something people can recognize and trust. Manus handles the whole setup under one roof. You don’t need to bounce between different apps and tools to get your domain live. Just go to settings, click the custom domain button, and you can either connect an existing domain or buy a new one. HTTPS and SSL come included automatically.

Analytics

Once your site is live, the next question is: what are people actually doing on it? Head to the dashboard icon and you’ll find visual data on page views, click-through rates, geographic demographics, referrers, and device types. You can filter by date or category. It’s all there, no third-party tools needed.

Payments and Billing

Manus separates two kinds of costs: credits (what you spend building and editing your project) and usage (what your published website consumes — AI capabilities, cloud, APIs). You can track both under Settings → Usage, along with your free monthly allowances.

When you’re ready to accept payments from customers, Manus integrates Stripe directly. Importantly, it starts you in a sandbox environment, so you can thoroughly test your entire checkout workflow — subscriptions, confirmations, coupon codes — before anything goes live. Once you’re confident everything works, you claim the sandbox and connect your real Stripe account. From that point on, no further configuration is needed.

Code Control

One of the biggest questions people have about AI-generated products is: do I own the code? The answer with Manus is yes. Even though Manus writes everything, it gives you full access to the underlying code at any time. As someone who’s non-technical, I can’t read it myself — but it’s genuinely reassuring to know it’s all there.

You can download the code, copy it, connect it to GitHub, or move the entire codebase to your own hosting platform. If you know there’s a specific line you want to change, just describe the edit to Manus and it will make it for you. Manus tackles this head-on — it writes everything for you and keeps you in control of everything it wrote.

Features Inside Your Website

Beyond the website itself, Manus lets you embed capabilities directly into your users’ experience.

AI capabilities — you can add conversational chatbots, guided search, AI-generated summaries, content generation, or even simple image generation. This is a great way to differentiate your website and make it stand out.

Cloud infrastructure — hosting, databases, and file storage are all managed for you. You don’t need to set up separate services or stitch together different tools. This lets you focus on building your product, not managing servers.

Authentication and access control — you can add login, registration, and user management so real people can sign in with real emails. You can split permissions between admin, member, and public access. This turns a simple website into a dynamic, functional workflow — perfect for client portals or internal dashboards.

Notifications — when something happens on your site (a new form submission, a new sign-up, a negative review), Manus can trigger alerts automatically via email, in-app notification, or mobile push. Your team can react quickly without constantly checking the dashboard manually.

How to Prompt Like a Pro

Ethan here. Several of you have asked how to talk to AI to get the output you actually want. Better prompts lead to better builds. It’s not about technical jargon — it’s about clarity, specificity, and telling Manus what success looks like. Here are three tips.

First: start with Chat Mode. Chat Mode is completely free — it doesn’t use any credits. Think of it as a rehearsal. Dump your rough idea into Chat Mode, go back and forth with Manus, and build a detailed, refined prompt before you ever launch the full agent. Your first real build will come out much closer to what you want.

Second: show, don’t just tell. Upload reference images, videos, or design mockups. Once you show Manus exactly what you want, it cuts down the guesswork instantly. Most of the time, including images gets you dramatically closer to your vision on the first try.

Third: one-shot magic. Be specific up front. Instead of saying, “Hey Manus, write me a blog,” say, “Hey Manus, write a 1,000-word blog on AI trends for marketers using a friendly tone with three clear examples.” The more detail you give at the start, the less you’ll have to revise afterwards.

Use Case 1: Full-Stack Bakery Website

Let’s say you’re an entrepreneur who wants to start a business but doesn’t know where to begin. In a previous webinar, we asked Manus to help plan a French bakery business in Boston — market research, a five-year business plan, and a tailored menu. Now we’re using those documents as a foundation to build a full-stack website.

I attached the business plan, the market analysis report, and the menu to Manus, and asked it to read and study them before building. Before production, I asked Manus to show me the planned structure — the brand direction, the pages it would create, the user flow, the imagery approach. Once I confirmed it, we proceeded.

Manus generated all the images first, referencing the style from the existing menu. It gave me a first iteration to check the layout and design. Then I asked it to build on that skeleton — adding Stripe for secure checkout. The Stripe integration starts in a sandbox so I could test the entire purchase flow before going live.

From there: an admin dashboard so the bakery owner can view incoming orders, payment status, and key customer data. Then SEO optimization so the site gets discovered. The final website has a home page showcasing all the pastries with categories and tags, a working checkout flow with Stripe, and an admin portal with analytics showing the full funnel — from homepage visits to menu views to cart additions to completed orders. All of it built in natural language by someone without a technical background.

Use Case 2: Interactive Portfolio

A portfolio is the best place to establish a personal brand. Manus can make it one that people actually remember.

We started by giving Manus a headshot and a detailed brief: who Joe is, what she has done, the color palette she wanted, the features she needed. Manus gave us a first version with all the requested sections — including a cartoon portrait — for review.

From there, we fed Manus more: a reference photo for style direction, a real resume, images, and links to blog posts she’d written. Manus incorporated all of it and built version two. We kept iterating — adjusting colors, adding an AI-backed chatbot that can answer questions on behalf of Joe without a visitor having to dig through her resume.

The final portfolio is fully interactive. There’s an animated timeline of Joe’s experience that you can drag through. Blog posts are displayed in a newspaper-style layout, each linking out to the original article. A contact section with phone, email, and LinkedIn. And the Joe chatbot — ask it anything about her background and experience, and it answers.

Use Case 3: Mobile App — Tag Along

If you have an app idea and want to prototype and test it without writing code, Manus can build a fully functional mobile app for you. We built a social app called Tag Along — a friend-group app for organizing activities and events.

We told Manus the app name, the color scheme, the number of subpages, and the specific content and buttons we wanted. Manus generated a first iteration to test. We added a photo upload feature. We tested it in the Manus interface, found things to improve, and described those changes. Manus iterated on them.

The final app has an event feed, individual event detail pages with RSVPs, a reaction system (including a “nudge” to invite friends), a picture wall, activity filtering by category, a leaderboard where users earn points for hosting or joining events, a profile page, and an event creation flow.

On the Manus interface you can preview the app as it would look on a phone. Scanning the QR code opens the app in Expo Go on your real device — no App Store required to test.

Publishing: Android and iOS

Manus has streamlined deployment to both major mobile platforms.

Android (Google Play): Four steps. First, select “Publish to Google Play” inside Manus — no external build tools. Second, Manus automatically packages your app into an optimized Android App Bundle (AAB) file and gives you a QR code and download link. Third, you open the Google Play Console, create your app, and upload the file Manus generated — all the complex build configuration has already been handled. Fourth, add testers to an internal testing environment and share the link. What used to require complex environment setups and manual build processes is now a seamless pipeline from Manus straight to Google Play.

iOS (App Store): The Apple ecosystem is notoriously complex, but Manus integrates the entire process. The only prerequisite on your end is an active Apple Developer account for certificates and provisioning. From there: select iOS in the Manus publishing interface, click “Create App” — no need to open Xcode. Manus automatically creates the app record, packages your build, and securely uploads it to App Store Connect. Once Apple finishes processing, you can install it through TestFlight and invite testers immediately. By automating Xcode builds and App Store Connect uploads, Manus makes iOS deployment just as seamless as Android — so you can focus on building your app rather than wrestling with deployment certificates.

Manus My Computer: Desktop Apps

Manus also has a desktop version called Manus My Computer. It changes the game. With the desktop app, Manus can work with your local files, tools, and workflows — not just the browser-based experience.

Here’s a concrete example: I built a proofreading app for myself. You select text anywhere on your Mac, click the emoji icon in the menu bar, and Manus proofreads the selected text. It shows you the original and the polished version side by side in a clean, editable diff view. You make any last adjustments, hit Accept, and the original text is replaced — no copy-pasting. It handles everything from standard documents to emails to code comments to markdown files. Built entirely in Manus My Computer, deployed and running locally.
